I am grateful for the trust and confidence shown to me by the voters who returned me to office on November 2, 2010. I am truly honored to be given the opportunity to serve my west Fort Collins district – House District 53 – for another 2 years in the Colorado General Assembly.

One of my most important responsibilities as a legislator is to help make state government work for people. That’s why I’ve worked hard to be open and accessible, to listen to my constituents’ issues, and to do my best to address people’s concerns and questions. It’s because of input I’ve received from involved citizens, such as you, that I am better able to serve my district.

In these tough times, I’m pleased to have helped build our road to economic recovery. I pledge to continue standing up for Colorado families, by creating good-paying jobs, holding government and special interests accountable, and expanding the circle of opportunity by investing in children and education.

I assure the citizens of House District 53 that I will effectively represent the interests and values of my community, continue serving with dignity and integrity, and bring workable solutions to people’s issues and concerns.
